Who I am:
I am a neurodivergence coach, originally from Korea, living in LA. I help creative leaning, multi-passionate and multi-talented adults create fulfilling lives. I have ADHD, autism and bipolar disorder. The clients I work with also have one or more of these conditions.
My business and life are thriving and growing at a rapid pace. I am looking for an exceptional operations manager / executive assistant—someone in the top 5–10%—to help me take things to the next level.
You'll be my operational partner, making decisions on my behalf and keeping both my business and personal life running smoothly. Your work will be geared towards making my life simpler, reducing my cognitive load and decision fatigue so I can focus on higher level work.
I’m currently recovering from chronic illness, so the role will lean more toward personal operations for now, though my personal life is run very much like a business—systems, prioritization, and follow-through matter.
I'd love for us to become friends, not just employer-employee. I've experienced this with my previous assistants, and it's been really fulfilling.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced and constantly evolving role. Things move quickly without step-by-step instructions, and you'll need exceptional judgment and discretion.
If you love taking initiative, solving problems creatively, and owning projects end-to-end, this could be the perfect role for you! =)
What I do:
My main work is in coaching.
I help high achieving, multi-talented, multi-passionate clients achieve balance, security and safety in their lives. (Often, neurodivergent people feel chronically overwhelmed, like their life is moving too fast, they cannot keep up, they are not in the “driver’s seat”), so that they can spend more time living in their strengths of passion, creativity and joy. I work somatically, with the nervous system.
To achieve this, I do 1:1 and group coaching with clients. I also give talks, trainings, workshops and group coaching for organizations.
Why I do it :
My mission - my calling - is to help traditionally marginalized (BIPOC, queer, femme, etc) neurodivergent people create and live a life they LOVE.
I believe that when neurodivergent people embrace the light within them, they bring others joy. When neurodivergent people come together, we create neurodivergent magic!

The Process :
1. Before writing the application, please take some time to get to know me at stephaniehwang.com
2. Submit resume, application and a short video (1-2min, instructions in the application)
3. We will get back to you within 1 week and communicate if we want to meet you for a interview. If you have not heard back within a week - it means we're not the right fit.
4. Round 1 interview with my current VA (approx 1hr)
(there will be a practical test to measure your skills - we will compensate you $5 for your time)
5. We will get back to you within 1 week to communicate if we want to meet you for the round 2 interview, or if you’re not the right candidate for us.
6. Round 2 interview with me
7. Within 1 week, we will communicate with you on results =)
8. Reference check
Some indicators we would be a great fit
- You feel like my bio resonates with you
- You're excited for a challenging and fast-paced role
- You're confident in taking ownership and making high-quality decisions
- You enjoy managing multiple responsibilities
- You have an interest in mental health
- You like learning, personal development, growing
I want to get clear on expectations
This job isn't for everyone.
The first VA I ever hired (part-time, 20hrs) quit in 3 weeks citing burnout as the reason.
My second VA (part-time, 20-30hrs) has expressed that the job was really tough, and really challenged her productivity skills.
Kath, my current assistant, is great with admin tasks, organization, and creating systems. But as my life grows, the role has evolved for someone who can take a higher-level ownership, make high quality decisions, and prioritize exceptionally well.
But for the right person (who feels strongly gravitated towards this job), it can be very fun and rewarding =)
I'm looking for that 🦄 person

✋BEFORE YOU APPLY
✋ DON'T APPLY IF:
-
You're early in your career without proven project / operations managing experience
-
You struggle with independent decision-making or need guidance on execution
-
You feel overwhelmed in high-responsibility, high-autonomy environments
-
You're looking for a short-term role or stepping stone
-
You're like "hmmmm should I try..?" It's probably not a good fit
Note:
I can sniff out AI generated answers - it will be a waste of time for both you and me
